Elena Diniz is a Brazilian screenwriter and artist currently based in Paris, blending her background in film and her passion for visual storytelling into a distinctive artistic voice. In 2011, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Film from PUC-Rio, followed by a specialization in Screenwriting at Cuban film school EICTV,  and later completed her Master’s in Film at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Her deep interest in the narrative potential of art extends beyond film into the realm of visual arts, where she creates minimalist watercolor pieces. With a focus on evocative and introspective forms, Elena’s work explores human emotion through subtle, refined gestures, as in her signature "sad faces" series. With just a few delicate brushstrokes, she conveys profound depth. Her film and visual storytelling often venture into the surreal, atmospheric, and whimsical, merging two artistic worlds into one cohesive expression.
